This quick funky disco gets going with the call of the trumpet. “It’s time to get out on the dance floor. It’s time to do what you came here for.”
I appreciate the disco vibe more than I did when disco was popular in the 70’s. The A section and B section are tight. The middle section bridge breaks things down into a half time percussive groove. I pick out a quirky melody on guitar and keys (vibraphone.) Jason takes a solo on trumpet, Elijah joins in on saxophone, then the fun begins. I jam out on drums and percussion. Once the disco four on the floor beat kicks in again, Jason takes another solo (I wanted it to sound like Flight of the Bumblebee) Elijah and Jason had fun with this. So did I.
